Overview

Assistant/Associate Professor of Farm Animal Pharmacology and Production Medicine. This role combines field service, teaching, and research to support livestock producers and train the next generation of veterinarians. Posting Information: Anticipated Hiring Range is commensurate with experience and rank determination ($130,000-$165,000). Work Schedule: Monday - Friday. Department: Department of Population Health and Pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine, North Carolina State University. Responsibilities

Delivering field-based clinical services, including first opinion medicine, general surgery, and herd management consulting. Teaching and assessing fourth-year veterinary students, interns, and residents in clinical ruminant management. Contributing to preclinical courses, labs, and electives on ruminant health, residue avoidance, and herd management. Building partnerships with livestock producers and stakeholders across local, national, and global networks. Conducting independent and collaborative research in food animal pharmacology, residue avoidance, and herd health. Participating in departmental and college service, mentoring, and curriculum development. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on veterinary education, food animal health, and producer support throughout North Carolina. Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations. Experience in teaching and farm animal ambulatory clinical practice. Preferred Qualifications Diplomate of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology and/or American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (Food Animal, Dairy, or Beef) or board-eligible in either college. Required Licenses or Certifications Eligibility for veterinary licensure (or faculty certificate) in the State of North Carolina. Valid NC Driver's License required. Application Instructions
