The Manager, Environmental Monitoring leads Empower Pharmacy’s cleanroom and contamination control programs, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance. This role balances strategic vision with hands-on leadership, guiding a team of analysts to uphold current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), data integrity, and patient safety. With a focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and talent development, the Manager drives initiatives that expand Empower’s ability to deliver safe, high-quality, and affordable medications to patients worldwide. Duties And Responsibilities

Directs the design, execution, and continuous improvement of the environmental monitoring program, ensuring alignment with USP, FDA, and cGMP standards. Leads and develops a high-performing team of analysts, providing coaching, mentoring, and career growth opportunities to support professional development and organizational excellence. Oversees complex investigations, risk assessments, and contamination control strategies, ensuring corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) are implemented effectively and sustained. Partners cross-functionally with Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), and Manufacturing teams to embed contamination control principles into daily operations and major projects, including cleanroom design and qualification. Serves as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections and audits related to environmental monitoring, representing Empower with expertise, confidence, and credibility. Advanced technical proficiency in environmental monitoring systems, aseptic practices, cleanroom design and qualification, data integrity systems, regulatory reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare manufacturing, with strong expertise in cleanroom operations, quality systems, and environmental monitoring; plus at least 2 years of supervisory experience. Requires a bachelor’s degree in a life science field; a master’s degree is strongly preferred. Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) certification preferred; advanced aseptic technique certification strongly preferred; International Organization for Standardization (ISO) training strongly preferred; Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) training preferred. Demonstrated experience leveraging AI in daily work to drive efficiency, solve problems, and enhance decision-making—adept at integrating AI-powered solutions into all workflows.
