Overview
As an Experience Research Senior Associate in our Employee Experience Team, you will shape user experiences across our products and services. You will leverage advanced proficiency in research methods, analysis, and both quantitative and qualitative techniques to identify customer needs and translate them into actionable insights and recommendations. You will contribute to developing research studies that answer user needs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence design, architecture, and functionality.
Responsibilities
Conduct and execute research studies using advanced methods (surveys, interviews, ethnography, usability testing, card sorting, heuristic evaluation) to gather customer insights.
Analyze and interpret data to identify patterns and trends and provide actionable recommendations to inform user experience design and improve customer satisfaction and engagement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user insights into product development processes based on research findings.
Contribute to the creation and refinement of experience research strategies and connect research work to business goals and success metrics, considering downstream implications.
Stay current with industry trends and incorporate knowledge into team insights.
Apply a variety of methodologies and demonstrate expertise in digital ethnography and observation or innovative research approaches.
Analyze, synthesize, and report on research studies; integrate quantitative thinking where appropriate with the research team.
Engage with stakeholders across product, design, and engineering to ensure insights inform decision-making.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
3+ years of experience or equivalent in generative and evaluative user experience research using advanced methods
Proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including survey design, interviews, ethnography, and data analysis
Advanced knowledge of user experience design principles with emphasis on ethnographic methods
Strong understanding of current research methodologies and ability to apply them to inform experience design
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Master’s Degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, HCI, HMI, Anthropology, Sociology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience conducting qualitative or mixed-methods research for digital products
Knowledge of systems thinking, journey mapping, and/or service blueprinting
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work and lead independently, navigate ambiguity, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders (product managers, design leads, development leads, and business teams)
