The National Account Data Center Segment Manager will be responsible for leading the sales and business development activities for the Data Center market segment in the East region. This includes developing and implementing the segment growth strategy to create a value proposition unmatched in the industry. This role will create and articulate an actionable roadmap that leads to a market leadership position for Armstrong in the segment. Responsibilities also include identifying market and competitive trends, developing and refining relevant value propositions based on where the market is evolving, developing the sales strategies and programs that deliver sustained year-over-year growth goals, and to own the data center project pipeline. The segment leader will also be responsible to develop key account plans with top Architects, Engineers, General Contractors, Owners, Integrators, Contractors, Sales Agents & Data Center Providers within the Data Center market and use the process to create strategic alignment, capture industry trends, and cultivate cross-level relationships throughout the organization. Additionally, this role will identify strategic and tactical opportunities and implement growth initiatives based on customer requirements, market trends and environmental landscape. General responsibilities will include defining, developing, and executing regional sales strategies, account management, financial forecasting, and pricing strategies for the Data Center market segment. The role requires strong cross-functional coordination especially with the Americas commercial organization. The ideal candidate will live in the East region. What’s in it for you! What You’ll Do Conduct Market Intelligence: Prepare intelligence reports, financial analysis, competitive research, customer insight programs, and monitor media and events to gain a strong understanding of the current and future trends. Portfolio strategy: Develop a vision for the Data Center market to appeal to the customer segments and develop a strategy for potential new products and services, as well as portfolio management, pricing initiatives, and SKU management to achieve expected growth targets. Product Management: Manage Data Center segment portfolio, work with product management, operations, sourcing, quality, and finance to strengthen and enhance our core business. Campaign Management: Working with marketing development to create marketing, training and sales campaigns that gain engagement from the market as well as traction with the sales channels to deliver sales goals. Project Management: Develop and manage a rolling 18–24-month project roadmap in line with commercial sales channels. Budget: Manage sales budgets against annual targets SME Leadership: Be Armstrong’s expert in the Data Center segment market and execute strategic market analysis that clearly defines growth opportunities within the segment. Product Management: Manage segment technology roadmap and growth pipeline. Ensure internal focus is driven by external trends. Commercial Engagement: Identify and assist in the development and closure of new business targets with the commercial teams. Create a process that drives accountability at the national field level. Industry Creditability: Develop and maintain key industry relationships and be viewed as a voice of knowledge within the Data Center segment. Organizational Alignment: Develop sound, articulate communication plans which support the segment strategy. Communicate often to ensure the strategy and growth actions are clearly understood throughout the organization in collaboration with the Wave Data Center Solutions Sales. Ability to create a compelling growth vision for Data Centers that inspires an organization. What will make you successful Strong project management, communication, presentation and facilitation skills to drive creative design solutions with a cross-functional business team. Commercial savvy and strategic thinking Must have a proven track record of developing and executing on a strategy. Proven track record to convert a vision to a sustained growth platform. Proficiency in Microsoft office applications and Salesforce, or other CRM systems. Min 5 years of experience in sales and or marketing in the data center industry preferred. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year College or university; or minimum of five years selling experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
