Senior Audit Accountant, Financial Services Join to apply for the Senior Audit Accountant, Financial Services role at Wipfli.

At Wipfli, people count. This role includes a hybrid work arrangement defined as working in a Wipfli office, from home, and at client sites. Client sites can vary locally, regionally, or nationally depending on the industry alignment. Scheduled meetings at the client and in the office will require in-person attendance.

Responsibilities

Audit financial statements, quarterly financial information, and clients\' annual reports.

Participate in pre-audit planning to assess the risk of material misstatement of financial accounts and design effective audit procedures.

Identify accounting and audit issues and perform research to resolve them.

Test internal controls, policies, and procedures and make recommendations.

Perform audits under GAAS, GAAP, PCAOB, AICPA auditing standards, and SOX.

Proactively build relationships and communicate with clients and colleagues.

Teach, train, and develop incoming staff/interns.

Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or related field required. Must meet educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam.

CPA certification preferred. Candidates actively pursuing CPA certification will be considered.

1–3 years of accounting-related experience.

Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively on multiple tasks.

Adaptable to various levels of client complexities in people, processes, and systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to travel to client sites up to 50%.
