Accounting Manager
to oversee the Accounting Department within our community. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and efficient financial management to support the organization’s long-term success. Key Responsibilities: Financial Oversight:
Manage and maintain financial records, including all functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll processing and benefits. Resident Billing:
Ensure timely completion of all resident billing and payment processing, including private pay, Medicare and Managed Care Payors. Payroll and Benefits:
Oversee payroll and benefits processing and open enrollment, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient handling of employee compensation, benefits, reporting and required filings. Reporting & Analysis:
Generate monthly and annual financial reports, providing insights to support decision-making. Team Leadership:
Supervise accounting staff, providing training and guidance. Budget & Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 5+ years of accounting experience with G/L, A/P, A/R, Payroll, and financial statement preparation. Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Experience working in a senior living or healthcare environment preferred. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage and PCC) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to a dynamic environment.
