Overview Our Financial Services EY EDGE practice helps build a better working world by applying knowledge, skills, and experience to assist clients in meeting their objectives. You will learn, grow, and contribute while building new relationships and producing high-quality work and advice.
Your Key Responsibilities
Work independently to identify problem areas and escalate to ensure tax returns, tax research, tax accounting, and tax projects are completed timely, efficiently, and accurately.
Lead and perform moderately complex tax or accounting regulatory and compliance tasks with limited supervision; perform research and analysis on accounting and tax issues.
Guide team members on moderately complex tax projects and maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax and accounting developments and EY technologies and processes.
Develop, document, and gain cross-functional alignment on processes to support delivery and internal teams.
Provide oversight, feedback, and coaching to junior team members; mentor team members to develop technical and leadership capabilities.
Skills And Attributes For Success
Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and finance principles; ability to complete moderately complex assignments.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience with financial and tax applications (e.g., GoSystems, Onesource, CorpTax) as required by area of specialization.
Strong attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to work independently; some supervision skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or Economics.
4–6 years of increasingly diverse or moderately complex experience in a related field.
Ability to prioritize, handle, and track multiple assignments; proficiency in tax accounting systems.
Experience with financial and tax applications (GoSystems, CorpTax, Onesource) as required by area of specialization.
Willingness to travel as needed; ability to work in a balanced hybrid environment.
Preferred
CPA, EA, licensed attorney, Project Management Professional, or Six Sigma Black Belt (not required).
