Principal Responsibilities Responsible for sales and business development activities globally, including account maintenance with a focus on aggressive organic growth of sales at strategic, growth, and prospective customers. Accountable for the overall commercial relationship with customer accounts and participation in the development of strategic planning with the TriMas Aerospace team. The key focus is meeting and exceeding the organizational growth plan set forth by the Company for the fiscal year. This position is based in El Cajon, CA but has the opportunity to be remote in the United States for the right candidate. Duties Plan, organize, implement and control a variety of interrelated sales and marketing activities to ensure maximum market penetration for the Company’s products or capabilities. Direct the development of company sales and business development programs. Assess existing and potential markets, oversee product lifecycle planning, coordinate technical product development, develop product strategies, define promotional activities and product launches; lead cross-functional sales teams. Plan and develop sales and marketing strategy, and review and recommend such strategy to management for consideration and acceptance. Develop and implement tactics to achieve sales and marketing objectives through the approved strategy. Participate in trade shows and exhibits. Direct the preparation of proposals from technical and commercial standpoints; participate in contract negotiations and definitions. Monitor daily quote activity with customers/prospects; participate in major pricing decisions (e.g., catalogs, RFQs, proposals). Select, develop, and evaluate other customer-facing personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function. Direct the preparation of technical literature, data sheets, etc., describing the Company’s products and capabilities through in-house or external sources. Set priorities for a cross-functional team with indirect reporting relationships. Organize and conduct training programs and seminars for customers, internal teams or future sales force. Maintain current knowledge of competitive status and share such information with management. Make pricing recommendations/decisions on products based on customer feedback and market information. Track pricing goals. Proactively resolve customer concerns and escalate as necessary to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Drive continuous improvement of business unit and enterprise processes. Hold productive team meetings with clear action items and deliverables. Support annual budget and periodic forecast process. Participate in and lead internal sales for efficient and accurate order management. Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%. This role is open to remote work. Qualifications

Minimum Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree with at least 3-5 years of sales and marketing experience. Familiar with a variety of sales and marketing concepts, practices and procedures. Aerospace industry experience, working with commercial and/or military customers and MRO; and/or Commercial power generation experience. Strong financial acumen. Excellent communication and people skills are mandatory. Presentation experience is required. Experience with program proposals, cost and schedule control, program budgeting and forecasting. Able to read and understand engineering drawings. Compensation In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $115,000-$138,000. Compensation can vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
