Who We Need Arootah is searching for experienced Directors of Human Resources to consult to our highly prestigious client base. As a consultant, you will work with our Hedge Fund and Family Office clients to provide expert advice. Having previously served in this leadership role, you have specific, hands-on experience developing, implementing, and managing a full human resource program for a leading Hedge Fund or Family Office.
What You'll Do
Best practice reviews.
Developing realistic and effective action plans.
Breaking apart goals into actionable steps.
Advising on vendor selection and oversight.
Creating and implementing policies, procedures, and control measures.
Evaluating each client’s advancement toward goal actualization through KPIs and scoring matrices.
Special projects or other areas of need.
Develop, manage, and execute people practices, programs, and initiatives in support of HR needs across the firm with a focus on maximizing and leveraging human capital assets.
Devise measurement of data, KPIs and people analytics to provide insights and influence organizational and talent decisions related to performance, hiring, learning and development, compensation, bonus, and profit-sharing programs.
Oversee local, state, and federal regulatory and compliance practices in hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, promotions, diversity, and inclusion.
Analyze and continually assess the compensation and benefits package, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
Establish policies and procedures and advise managers on employee relations, onboarding, development planning, talent processes, and related matters. Support new managers and leaders in transitions and leave coverage plans.
Ensure compliance with regulations and laws; monitor and implement new regulations; conduct investigations as needed; maintain records and represent the organization as required.
Manage development solutions to close gaps and build leadership bench strength for the business.
Maintain confidential and compliant employee records; manage employee data.
Partner with leaders on business issues and HR processes to deliver effective solutions and employee development opportunities.
Investigate employee issues and conflicts, document actions, and coordinate related communications with insurers, government agencies, and other relevant bodies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, Law, Business Administration, or related field.
MBA or Master’s Degree in HR Management or related certifications are a plus.
10+ years of experience as a Director of Human Resources at a hedge fund, family office, or investment management company, with 5-10 years HR Generalist experience across all HR areas.
Strong understanding of the financial services/investment management industry and related motivators.
Extensive knowledge of legal, risk, regulatory, compliance, and security issues in HR at local, state, and federal levels.
Ability to handle complex ER issues and collaborate with legal, risk, compliance, and security teams.
Hands-on experience with client management on strategic HR topics such as talent management, org design, and change management.
Analytical approach with comfort using data and workforce analytics to influence decisions.
Job Status
Contractor
Hours based on client needs (0-40 hours per week).
Hourly rate: $125 - $275 per hour. The final rate is determined by engagement length, complexity, required specialization, certifications, and experience.
