Overview

O&M Network Engineer 4 (Tech Specialist 4) – On-site role. This position is part of the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit and focuses on designing, engineering, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security and network services for federal, local, and commercial customers across high-growth markets. The role involves refining requirements, developing and revising design documentation, producing installation instructions and deployment plans, and providing operations and maintenance support for customer networks. The engineer will contribute to ongoing implementations by designing and developing configurations for an expanding enterprise, performing surveys and assessments of existing network systems, participating in infrastructure design and deployment activities, and delivering documentation throughout the lifecycle. Responsibilities

Develop and support customer solutions, technical strategies, and objectives throughout the IT project lifecycle. Refine requirements, develop and revise design documentation, and create installation instructions and deployment plans. Provide O&M support for networks and deliver technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences. Participate in hands-on implementation of customer network systems and develop documentation across the lifecycle. On-site execution: 100% on-site work with no expected remote work. Candidate duties, responsibilities and skills

Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex concepts to various stakeholders. Ability to learn new technologies quickly and to develop and follow processes and standard operating procedures. Demonstrated network engineering experience with device configuration, CLI navigation, patch deployment, and configuration changes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root-cause analysis across network layers. Expertise in WAN/Transport and IP routing technologies; knowledge of BGP, MPLS, and SD-WAN for ongoing maintenance and projects. Experience with cloud orchestration and management of network devices; troubleshooting cloud network technologies (e.g., ExpressRoute, Azure Virtual Networks) and integration with on-prem networks. Working knowledge of WAN technologies and various circuit types; experience deploying LAN components (cable plant, connectors, etc.). Understanding of DoD network security policies and methodologies; ability to implement them enterprise-wide. Experience in multi-enclave environments; knowledge of network traffic management and network optimization. Experience with Juniper/HPE/JUNOS and/or Palo Alto is a plus. Qualifications

Clearance/Citizen Type:
