Infrastructure and Platform Services
team (IPS) is the backbone of EA\'s global gaming ecosystem, delivering the technology that powers EA\'s live games and player experiences. IPS provides a deep portfolio of digital platform gaming services and production infrastructure to EA\'s game studios. From scalable cloud solutions to AI-driven gameplay services, IPS ensures that EA\'s games are available anytime, anywhere for millions of players worldwide. Responsibilities
Report to the Sr. Director of Engineering (DevOps/SRE) and oversee the architectural strategy for AWS cloud infrastructure and SRE platforms supporting mission-critical services. Design and implement scalable, available, and secure cloud solutions using AWS native services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, IAM, etc.) and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform). Drive best practices in IaC, CI/CD, observability, automated observability, incident response, and operational excellence. Collaborate with engineering teams to build resilient, fault-tolerant systems and continuously improve performance and reliability. Lead automation initiatives to reduce toil through tooling, scripting, and process improvements. Mentor engineers, promoting a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement. Ensure cloud environments meet security, compliance, and governance standards. Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance cloud operations. Provide architectural leadership during major platform upgrades, migrations, and new technology adoptions. Participate in on-call rotation and guide incident response and root cause analysis. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 8+ years in cloud architecture, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering, with deep expertise in designing and operating highly available AWS environments at scale. Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or similar). Skills in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CodePipeline), scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Go), and observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo/Jaeger). Solid knowledge of networking, security best practices, identity and access management, and compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC2). Experience designing systems for high availability, disaster recovery, and operational excellence. Experience mentoring technical teams, promoting collaboration, and engaging across multiple partners. Familiarity with security tooling, automated vulnerability scanning, and governance in cloud environments. Compensation And Benefits

Pay Ranges British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) $165,900 - $238,100 CAD In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation, sick time, top-up to EI/QPIP benefits, extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan, and potential for bonus and equity.
