Overview The systems integration developer at Salem Health designs and maintains healthcare data interfaces, ensuring seamless communication between internal systems and external partners. This role combines technical expertise in HL7 and X12 standards with collaboration across teams to support clinical and operational workflows through robust, scalable integrations.
What you\'ll do
Design, build, and document HL7 and X12 interfaces using the Rhapsody engine.
Design and build Bridges interfaces with Epic (as needed).
Translate functional specifications into technical requirements and designs.
Perform advanced data mapping and translation.
Review and understand customer requirements and specifications.
Participate in projects and collaborate with application analysts to analyze, develop, test, implement, and maintain integration points for existing interfaces and new systems.
Perform complex analysis and troubleshooting of HL7 interface and file transfer issues.
Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of workflows and processes that contribute to the data being passed.
Interface table maintenance as needed.
Mentor teammates on interface development and programming.
Provide backup as Tier III support on team
Required qualifications
Minimum of five years of IT or operational experience required.
Minimum of three years of experience with developing and implementing HL7 or X12 interfaces.

Skills in tools and languages such as Rhapsody, Automate, SQL, JavaScript, and C# will be valuable in supporting interface development and data flow design.
Adaptability, strong organizational habits, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment will help candidates meet critical deadlines and contribute meaningfully to team objectives.
