KBR is seeking a
NC3 Configuration Management Specialist
to join our National Security Solutions team in Colorado Springs, CO, supporting the Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) Program Management Office (PMO) within the USAF, AFNWC at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB). The position involves establishing and maintaining integrity of product, system, and software configurations throughout their life-cycle for a diverse set of NC3 space capabilities and infrastructure, to support Joint and Allied operational warfighting in MILSATCOM and NC3 space systems, terminals and software applications worldwide. Draft, implement, endorse and promulgate leadership’s direction and vision regarding Configuration Management (CM). Ensure system changes are properly identified, documented, controlled, and audited, minimizing risks and maximizing efficiency. Develop and manage Division-level Configuration Management Plans (CMP). Support CM training on processes and tools. Provide program-level coordination to integrate Division-level CMPs. Support government-led Engineering Review Boards (ERB) and Configuration Change Boards (CCB). Develop technical baseline products and change tracking artifacts. Organize and document system configurations with support from Program Managers and Lead Engineers. Work Environment
Location: On-site Travel Requirements: Approximately 10% Working Hours: Standard Qualifications
Required:
Active Secret clearance required for this position Bachelor’s degree with a major relevant to skills requirements (Computer Science, Database Management, Information Technology, or other) from an accredited university 5 years of relevant experience with Configuration Management (CM); demonstrated high proficiency with mature CM practices and procedures Experience using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills 4+ years experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships 4+ years experience working in a highly competitive multi-contractor environment Desired:
INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or higher PMP certification from PMI Compensation
Basic Compensation:
$69,000 - $104,000 in Colorado The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. Ready to Make a Difference?
