Job Overview:
This is an opportunity to join our expanding Pensacola office, where you’ll enjoy the coastal lifestyle of Florida’s Gulf Coast while contributing to a high-performing utility team with a robust backlog, steady growth, and low staff turnover. While your primary focus will be water and wastewater infrastructure, you’ll also have opportunities to collaborate across service lines—including land development, transportation, and survey—and contribute to projects in other regions across the Southeast. This role is ideal for an early- to mid-career engineer looking to deepen technical skills, broaden experience, and build a long-term path in a stable, growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Provide engineering design support on Water, Wastewater, and reclaimed water projects across Northwest Florida and the Gulf Coast.
Perform hydraulic evaluations, design calculations, plan and profile drafting, and specification development.
Support permitting processes with local, state, and federal agencies.
Conduct field investigations, attend client meetings, and assist with construction-phase services.
Collaborate closely with project managers and senior engineers to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
Stay current on local utility agency standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
2-6+ years of experience in utility infrastructure design for Water including pipelines, pump stations, or treatment facilities.
EIT certification required; PE license preferred or in pursuit of.
Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil3D, Microsoft Office Suite, and hydraulic modeling tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving and criminal background.
Bonus Points
5+ years of hands-on design experience in water/wastewater systems.
Experience with plan and detail production, permit submittals, and coordination with reviewing agencies.
Familiarity with permitting processes in Florida (FDEP, local municipalities).
Proficiency in Civil3D and/or Revit.

Base Salary:
$100,000 - $145,000 per year. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential. Compensation decisions depend on qualifications, skills, and experience.
