Overview
Radiologic Technologist – Diagnostic Imaging. Bring your skills to the frontlines of patient care as a Radiologic Technologist. Reporting to the Section Leader, you’ll use advanced imaging technology and ionizing radiation to capture detailed images that help diagnose injuries and disease. From routine X-rays to specialized studies, your expertise will support physicians, reassure patients, and ensure safe, accurate results every time. This role combines technical skills with compassionate care, making you an essential partner in each patient’s journey.
What You’ll Do
Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring optimal positioning and patient safety. Prepare and position patients, using immobilization devices when necessary to achieve clear results. Follow all radiation protection standards, hospital policies, and regulatory protocols. Perform DEXA scans (osteoporosis testing) if certified and maintain current credentialing. Provide education and reassurance to patients and families throughout procedures. Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and staff to deliver seamless, patient-centered care. Maintain accurate medical records and complete mandatory competencies and certifications. Mentor new employees, students, and interns, sharing expertise and promoting best practices. Stay current with new technologies, equipment, and trends in radiology.
What You Bring
Completion of a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program or associate’s degree in radiologic technology (military training accepted). Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license required. R.T.(R)(ARRT) registered or registry-eligible (must achieve within 12 months of hire). BLS certification required. Prior experience as a radiologic technologist preferred. Strong communication, patient care, and customer service skills. Proficiency in PACS, RIS, and computer systems. Ability to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
