By offering mammography and breast care within the patients primary care or OB/GYN practice and scheduling appointments in coordination with an annual exam, compliance is easier to accomplish. Onsite we dont work weekends and offer the opportunity to use the latest 3D tomosynthesis digital mammography equipment in an OB/Gyn office environment. Qualifications include a patient-centric approach, compassion, computer savvy, and the ability to perform a variety of technical activities associated with the performance of screening and diagnostic mammography procedures. The candidate should be flexible with the ability to multi-task and, if ABUS is offered, be able to travel to Raleigh, NC, for a week of ABUS training. All travel arrangements will be made in accordance with company policy. Responsibilities

Specializes in the production of screening and diagnostic mammograms for the detection of breast cancers and lesions. Responsible for the initial and ongoing success of the mammography service in the practice in which one works. Assist the practice in ensuring all eligible age-appropriate patients have annual screening mammograms, especially critical in the first 18 months of a new practice. Prepare patients for the mammographic procedure. Explain procedures to the patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation. Position and operate mammographic equipment; adjust controls to set exposure factors per radiographic techniques and protocols. Practice radiation protection techniques using beam-restrictive devices and patient shielding. Follow prescribed safety standards in operating all required equipment. Examine digital images for image quality. Ensure equipment is in proper working order at all times. Perform all required QA testing to comply with MQSA, ACR and State requirements/regulations. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Process routine paperwork and data entry; participate in professional development and maintain professional affiliations. Prepare all required reports and data pursuant to MQSA and State requirements. Qualifications

Must be up to date on all CME credits. Hold a valid state license if applicable. Must be very patient-centric, compassionate, and computer savvy. Able to perform a variety of technical activities associated with the performance of screening and diagnostic mammography procedures. Flexible with the ability to multi-task. If ABUS is offered, candidate must be able to travel to Raleigh, NC, for ABUS training. Experience

2 years of Mammography experience (Required). License
