Position Summary: A part-time, temporary adjunct position to facilitate an online course that allows you to integrate a Christian worldview with expertise in your teaching discipline. Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Facilitate an online course in the teaching discipline of expertise Demonstrate skill and/or knowledge in teaching discipline and make continuous efforts to improve instructional quality Plan, develop, and use a variety of facilitation methods and materials that assist students in meeting course objectives Model empathy, awareness, and relational presence to cultivate an authentic online learning community Respond in a timely manner to all student communication Demonstrate competence in integrating technology in a virtual classroom and willingness to explore new facilitation methods Evaluate students to measure progress toward achievement of course objectives and inform students of their progress in the course in a timely manner Keep accurate student records and submit related assessment reports and forms within requested timelines Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in teaching discipline is required; terminal degree preferred; certification in area of course facilitation preferred Five years of work experience in online or resident course facilitation Official transcript required for employment and written proof of certification in area of expertise Effective oral and written communication skills in an online setting Organizational abilities in online course facilitation Important Applicant Information
