Overview
The Prep Cook AM role at EOS Hospitality participates in all aspects of food preparation and banquets operations for different food and beverage operations within the hotel. Responsibilities
Labeling and stocking all ingredients on easily accessible shelves Completing all tasks, in order, on the prep list from the Head Chef or other kitchen Manager Washing, chopping and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables and meats Measuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients Parboiling food and starting first steps in various dishes Adhering to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards Keeping track of ingredient inventory and collaborating with other kitchen and management staff to order resupply Ensure all equipment is ready to use Ensure that line is ready for service Prep additional items to bring counts back up to par Prepare food items for customers using a quality predetermined method in a timely and consistent manner; change set-up station as required to service prepared items Education/Experience
Must be 18 years of age or older. High school or equivalent education required. Requirements
Previous experience as a Prep-Cook is preferred Must be available to work weekends and holidays Temperature generally is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers and kitchens Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day Proper usage and handling of various kitchen machinery Ability to physically handle knives, pots, mirrors, or other display items as well as transport up to 50 pounds to every area of the kitchen; ability to perform cutting skills on work surfaces topped with cutting boards Benefits
