As we expand our primary banking and lending products, Credit Karma is seeking an innovative, experienced, and hands-on Staff AI Scientist to join our Consumer Risk Data Science team. You will develop cutting-edge credit risk AI/ML fraud models to enable existing and new money movement products, working with a collaborative team of AI scientists and machine learning engineers with a direct impact on hundreds of thousands of customers. What you’ll do

Contribute to the fraud risk AI science initiatives for the Money product offerings, owning the model lifecycle, driving data strategy, and sharing ownership of success at the program level Design, build, deploy, evaluate, defend, and monitor ML models to predict and detect fraud risk for CK Money and various short-term lending products Collaborate with credit policy, product, and fraud risk teams to align models with business goals and product offerings to enable actionable lending decisions Build efficient data pipelines for feature generation, model development, scoring, and reporting using Python, SQL, and ML/AI infrastructures Deploy models in production in collaboration with other AI scientists and ML engineers Ensure model fairness, interpretability, and compliance Contribute to the evolution of data and ML infrastructure within the Intuit ecosystem to improve efficiency and effectiveness Research and implement practical ML and statistical approaches suited to a fast-paced environment What’s great about the role

Advanced Degree (Ph.D. or MS) in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related quantitative field 6+ years of work experience in AI/ML and related areas Authoritative knowledge of Python and SQL Relevant fintech fraud risk experience with understanding of money movement products, banking, lending, and fraud detection data Experience with developing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining ML techniques (e.g., deep learning, tree-based models, time series, NLP) Understanding of fraud risk modeling concepts including score calibration, label bias correction, case disposition logic, and network/graph analysis Ability to analyze large, complex datasets and build reusable ML data pipelines Strong business problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills Proactive, results-oriented, team player, innovative thinker Experience defining and driving end-to-end modeling frameworks across multiple product teams Ability to evaluate and integrate emerging AI/ML technologies Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.) Experience with public cloud platforms (GCP or AWS) and workflow tools like Apache Airflow Strong MLOps background (Vertex AI or AWS SageMaker) including pipelines, retraining, monitoring, and version control Experience with experimentation design and analysis (A/B testing, statistics) Compensation and Benefits

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance approach. The expected base pay for this position in New York City is $201,500 - $273,000. Eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits as per company plans and programs.
