Overview
Housekeeping Supervisor is a full-time position at an Oakmont Management Group community on a beautifully landscaped campus. The role involves supervising day-to-day housekeeping operations to maintain a safe and clean living environment for residents. Days: Sundays – Thursdays. Pay Range: $29/hour – $31/hour. Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the housekeeping department, programs, and activities; ensure work/cleaning schedules are followed. Supervise housekeeping team members to ensure performance meets community standards. Ensure safety regulations are followed in the use of equipment and supplies. Plan, schedule, prepare, and conduct in-service classes for team members as posted. Conduct weekly inspections of resident rooms, corridors, laundry facilities, administrative areas, grounds and related buildings to ensure assignments are completed. Maintain the property in a clean and safe manner to support resident comfort; ensure equipment and supplies are maintained and operable. Arrange coverage during employee absences and manage duties as directed. Order equipment, supplies, and linens and manage inventory. Manage resident additions to the housekeeping and laundry schedules and ensure resident ironing aligns with company standards and satisfaction. Clean resident apartments, public areas, and work areas as needed; ensure carts are locked and chemicals are inaccessible to residents. Maintain clean, safe, and attractive work areas; manage hazardous objects and use protective equipment appropriately. Follow proper chemical handling, labeling, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS); report missing or mislabeled hazardous containers. Assist in budgeting and policy/procedure development for housekeeping, janitorial, and laundry departments. Hire, evaluate, motivate, monitor performance, schedule, and supervise department staff in accordance with company policy; provide feedback on staff evaluations and disciplinary actions. Qualifications
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prefer prior housekeeping or janitorial experience. Ability to operate standard household equipment (dishwasher, iron, vacuum, washer, dryer). Knowledge or ability to learn the theory and practice of assisted living and dementia care. Ability to work with seniors and interact with cognitively impaired individuals. Ability to operate office equipment (copier, telephone, postage machine, time clock, medical alert system). Ability to adapt, prioritize tasks, and make decisions; strong communication skills in English. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Ability to obtain and maintain valid First Aid and CPR certifications as needed. Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening. May require vaccination, daily screening, surveillance testing, and PPE as per regulatory guidelines. Benefits
