Posting Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Lab Technician for the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology within the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy. Among the key duties of the position are the following:

Dissects animals and collects tissue for histology, analytics chemistry, and molecular toxicology experiments.

Handles animals and exposure to environmental contaminants.

Monitors animal health and fertility.

Performs LC/GC/MC for pharmacokinetic studies, in vitro cell culture, and other basic molecular biology and toxicology experiments.

Salary Details:

$25 - $30/hourly

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific/technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant laboratory technician, research study experience carrying out research protocols and tests or other technical work.

Certifications/Licenses:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to work independently.

Ability to think critically and perform team science.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree.

Experience in molecular biology, animal science, or reproductive and developmental biology or toxicology.
