The ERP Developer reports to the Development Operations Manager and is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale ERP customizations, integrations, and workflows primarily within the Acumatica ERP platform. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that Acumatica supports business processes efficiently, scales with organizational growth, and delivers measurable improvements to operations. The ERP Developer will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to capture requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and deploy high-quality customizations that extend and optimize ERP functionality. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

Develop and maintain customizations in Acumatica ERP using the Acumatica Framework (C#, .NET, and customization projects).

Design and implement integrations between Acumatica and third-party applications using web services, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware.

Build and optimize Acumatica workflows, business logic, screens, and automation steps to improve system usability and efficiency.

Partner with stakeholders to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable ERP solutions.

Write, test, and deploy high-quality code, following best practices for performance, maintainability, and security.

Support Acumatica upgrades by updating and validating customizations against new platform versions.

Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and data views to support custom functionality and reporting.

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration failures.

Document technical specifications, code, and deployment processes for future reference and maintainability.

Participate in peer code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and ERP development planning.

Assist in training technical staff and key business users on new functionality and workflows.

Stay current with Acumatica roadmap, SDK updates, and ERP development best practices.

Provide on-call support as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience/Training/Education/Competence

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.

3–5 years of ERP development experience, with direct Acumatica customization experience strongly preferred.

Proficiency in C# and the Acumatica xRP Framework.

Strong experience with SQL Server, including queries, stored procedures, and database optimization.

Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and system integrations.

Familiarity with ERP workflows, accounting principles, and business processes (finance, supply chain, service, etc.).

Experience managing ERP upgrade cycles and maintaining compatibility of custom code.

Knowledge of source control, deployment pipelines, and modern development practices.

Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to maintain an elevated level of accuracy in preparing and entering data. Superb time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet regular and frequent deadlines. Attention to detail required. Ability to work well as a team member. Must demonstrate sound work ethic, flexibility, respectfulness, honesty and trustworthiness. Must also be punctual and dependable. Must possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.

Technical:

Ability to effectively use accounting software and Enterprise systems, email, search engine, Internet; ability to effectively use Microsoft Products: Outlook, Word, Excel and to use or learn specific software needed to improve productivity.

Communication:

Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as financial journals, operating and accounting instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization. Ability to read through reporting and compliance requirements.

Math & Reasoning:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and willingness to adapt to change and take the initiative.

Physical and Environmental Elements Physical Demands:

Ability to sit continuously for over 3/4 of normal work shift, and stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for at least 1/4 of the normal work shift. Ability to climb stairs. Ability to talk or hear continuously. Ability to see clearly to do all work-related tasks (clear or corrected vision at 20 inches or less). Finger dexterity is required frequently for over 3/4 of the normal work shift.

Work Environment:

Position is typically performed in the office environment with standard equipment and moderate noise levels; may interact with production/warehouse environment. Travel to open warehouse areas where temperatures may vary.
