The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These tasks support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs. This position is with the Launch Control Systems Gateway team, which handles networking interfaces to SLS, Orion, and the Launch Control Center. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline. Familiarity with C/C++, automated testing tools, and source control is required. Networking and packet capture analysis experience is preferred. Must have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and possess excellent communication and customer interface skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential. This position requires full on-site work, Monday through Friday, until the first 90 days of employment are completed. Afterward, telework options will be available (3 days on-site / 2 days remote), based on job performance. Access to Kennedy Space Center amenities is available, including Child Development Center, discounted attraction tickets, Credit Union, Fitness Center, Barbershop, and NASA Exchanges.
