Program Description: Participants in the Environmental, Health & Safety Leadership Program take part in a structured development experience located at a manufacturing facility. The program duration is 24 months. During this time, participants receive experiential and formal training including:
Learning from Incidences
New Hire Safety Training
Risk Assessments and Management
Hazard Recognition Control
Environmental Permit Compliance
Total Productive Maintenance
Injury Program Support
Program Outcome:
Upon completion, participants will be placed in a full-time assignment as a EHS Leader or Specialist at a North American Owens Corning manufacturing plant.
What We’re Looking For:
An enthusiastic candidate who takes initiative, drives results, and creatively navigates tasks. The ideal candidate demonstrates a desire to develop technical and leadership capabilities in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum Qualifications :
Preferred bachelor’s degree in environmental health & Safety Management, Chemical engineering or an equivalent field
Previous relevant internships/co-ops in a manufacturing setting
Analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to lead projects and development project plans
Demonstrated leadership in professional, service, or social organizations
Willingness and flexibility to relocate (assistance provided) during or upon completion of the program
Location of Assignment:
Participants are based at various manufacturing sites in the US.
Compensation & Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $73,000, with the potential for up to an additional 25% if the applicant hired has additional related qualifications.
