Summary:
The Keeran School of Bible and Ministry is seeking Adjunct Professors who will serve in both online and residential classrooms.
Reporting Relationship:
Adjunct Professors report to the Dean of the Keeran School of Bible and Ministry (KSBM), who reports directly to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Essential Characteristics:
Adjunct Professors are, first and foremost, Christians exhibiting a mature faith who clearly articulate his/her relationship with Jesus Christ. Adjunct Professors in the KSBM must belong to the Restoration Movement (Stone-Campbell Movement) and must be able to clearly identify their affiliation with the Church of Christ (non-instrumental) or independent Christian Churches, Churches of Christ. As such, Adjunct Professors are committed to advancing the mission of Kentucky Christian University as a representative of the University, the KSBM, and our Movement. Adjunct Professors, whether online or residential, must be accessible, be able to develop new courses and teach from prescribed course material, and work toward the success of KCU students in vocational studies and spiritual growth and development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Adjunct Professors for the Keeran School of Bible and Ministry have the following duties and responsibilities:
Develop courses that can be taught in both an online and residential modality
Teach newly developed courses, as well as prescribed courses, in either online or residential modalities
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with students, the Dean and other KSBM Faculty, and the Administration of KCU
Participate, when available, in KSBM Departmental meetings. This may include a physical presence, joining the meeting virtually, contributing to email collaboration, and the receiving of Departmental minutes.
Implement Departmental and institutional policies in conjunction with the Dean of the KSBM
Represent KCU and the KSBM by all means possible and by taking an active role in the recruitment, promotion, and retention of KCU, and specifically, KSBM students.

All Adjunct Professors in the KSBM must have a minimum of a completed Master of Arts Degree from a regionally accredited institution that includes a minimum of 18 hours towards the discipline to be taught. Preference will be given to applicants holding terminal degrees from regionally accredited institutions. Experience:
Preferably, Adjunct Professors will have experience teaching at the undergraduate level and will demonstrate capacities that demonstrate the ability to lead students in both residential and online modalities. Ideally, Adjunct Professors will be practitioners in their field as well as current academic knowledge pertaining to courses that will be taught, including but not limited to: current practices, principles, and standards evidenced through professional experience. Ideally, Adjunct Professors will have experience working in diverse settings and be student-centered. Values:
