This position follows day shift hours, Mon-Fri, and acts as an SME responsible for planning and implementing an EHS Excellence program while ensuring compliance with all state, federal and local governmental EHS regulations. Previous EHS experience in manufacturing is required. Designs and implements safety and environmental policies and procedures including written programs, recordkeeping, reports, inspections, monitoring, testing, and training. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations by staying informed about changes, interpreting requirements, and implementing necessary adjustments to programs, processes, and policies. Deliver EHS training programs to employees at all levels to ensure knowledge and adherence to safety and environmental regulations for all facilities. Conduct and document regular EHS audits and inspections to assure compliance with permits, regulations and requirements. Coordinate visits from internal and external regulatory authorities and file annual local, state and federal environmental reports (potentially including air, waste, water, Tier II, and Form R). Assist site safety committee with inspections to assess compliance and implement corrective and preventative measures for hazards. Manage workers' compensation cases and EHS programs, including cost control, accident prevention, safety behavior audits, and risk assessment programs. Assist with the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations. Establish and promote a culture of continuous improvement in EHS performance by evaluating programs, identifying enhancements, and coordinating the development of an EHS improvement strategic plan in collaboration with site managers. Analyze safety history, manufacturing processes, product machinery, and chemical exposures to identify hazards, trends, and develop strategies to prevent accidents or health hazards. Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred: Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Safety Professional (ASP/CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) 1-3 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing setting Maintains strict confidentiality and protects sensitive information Proactive with sound judgment and decision-making; able to identify problems and develop solutions Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines Note: This job description reflects the current requirements and may be subject to change.
