Senior Cybersecurity Engineer
to design and deliver advanced security solutions that protect critical enterprise systems and data. This is a strategic, hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to architect, automate, and operate security controls at scale. The ideal candidate is both a visionary thinker and a builder—someone who thrives on solving complex problems while driving the next generation of cybersecurity capabilities. This position is based onsite in New York, NY and requires close collaboration with engineering, infrastructure, and security operations teams. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening enterprise resilience, modernizing defenses, and ensuring security is integrated into every layer of systems, networks, and applications. With a focus on automation and advanced engineering, this role is ideal for a cybersecurity leader who wants to leave a measurable impact. Responsibilities
Design and deploy enterprise-grade security systems aligned to leading frameworks such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Develop custom security automation and integrations using Python, with a focus on orchestration platforms such as Swimlane (SOAR). Conduct security architecture reviews, evaluate emerging technologies, and recommend innovative solutions for enterprise adoption. Partner with security operations, infrastructure, and development teams to detect, respond to, and prevent threats in real time. Troubleshoot advanced system, application, and network issues with security implications, ensuring rapid resolution and prevention. Required Experience & Expertise
15+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, or systems/network engineering. Expert-level proficiency in Python scripting and development, with proven experience building security automation frameworks. Hands-on knowledge of Swimlane or comparable SOAR platforms. Deep expertise in: Network protocols, firewalls, and secure architecture design System hardening for Windows, Linux, and iOS Endpoint and network defense technologies (EDR, IDS/IPS, SIEM, SOAR) Strong troubleshooting skills across network, system, and application layers. Experience applying secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) and DevSecOps principles. Proven ability to lead projects independently and manage complex technical initiatives with minimal oversight. Security Tooling & Platforms
