Scope To provide expert FP&A support to Regional Commercial VP as well as to the Global VP supporting Marketing and Strategy. This position will also support the FP&A activities of the Fertility Solutions business as a whole.

Job Summary The Sr Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) serves as a trusted leader in the CooperSurgical division of CooperCompanies. Reporting to the Director FP&A Fertility, this position will be the lead finance business partner to the Regional Commercial VP as well as the Global Head of Marketing and Strategy. The position will be accountable for leading business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities for the region and for the Marketing and Strategy departments. This role is also responsible for supporting Innovation projects developing and presenting business cases. This is a critical and highly visible role requiring strong leadership skills, sharp financial acumen, and a solid business sense. This position requires a global mind-set to accommodate the wide customer base and to support the organization’s global strategy.

Responsibilities

Key business partner to the Regional Vice-President and the Global VP supporting Marketing and Strategy providing support and advice on all financial elements of the business.

Partner with the Business Unit Team members to help identify key opportunities to improve financial performance and grow the business profitably.

Lead annual budget, quarterly forecasts, monthly reporting, and long-range strategic plan process for the region and strategy teams.

Perform variance analysis comparing planned to actual financial performance, interpret results and variances, and provide guidance to commercial team.

Partner with business leads translating strategic initiatives and operational goals into a financial outlook.

Work closely with department heads and business leads providing transparency and insights into the financial performance of their business.

Perform special analysis such as return on investment, pricing analytics, profitability analysis, etc. that facilitates management decision-making.

Lead strategic business planning process and new business / investment opportunities with business case and return on investment analyses.

FP&A lead supporting New Product Innovation projects. Build detailed financial, scenario-based models to evaluate investment priorities and potential alternatives.

Travel Some travel is expected. Approximately 5% of time

Qualifications

Strong business acumen and intellectual curiosity.

Strong interpersonal skills and strategic mindset. Ability to successfully influence leaders across the organization.

Excellent communication and client interface skills.

Proven ability to effectively scrutinize and challenge assumptions and interpret the strategy and priorities of the organization in financial terms.

Experience creating and presenting to key stakeholders and senior leadership.

Demonstrated ability to build relationships and to communicate with various stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and as a team-player, including complex and dynamic teams.

Ability to maintain demanding timeliness.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work simultaneously on multiple priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced matrixed environment.

Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and excel skills. Ability to create and manage complex models.

Work Environment

This role is a full-time position and is based out of our HQ office located in Trumbull, CT

Some travel will be a necessary part of this role. Due to the international nature of the business, candidate must be prepared to work flexible hours

Experience

Will have extensive hands-on experience in an FP&A role within a commercial/operational organization

10+ years of finance/FP&A experience

Education

Bachelor's degree in financial discipline. MBA and/or CPA preferred but not essential.
