Nashville, TN. This role requires a motivated individual who is comfortable with frequent travel, spending 75% or more of their time on the road.

$70,000 - $90,000 + bonus + uncapped kicker opportunities (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

About The Position This position is responsible for driving brand awareness and sales in a specified region and/or at specific retail partner locations. The Sales - Territory Manager (Metro TN-KY Area) is responsible for building and fostering relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within their designated territory, leading educational and inspirational meetings and presentations, and acting as a brand champion at our partner’s brick and mortar locations.
What Success Looks Like Customer satisfaction with the sell through of all product placements resulting in sales goal achievement. The ideal candidate will embrace the road warrior lifestyle, with the flexibility and drive to travel extensively and build relationships with clients across the territory.
What’s Expected (include But Not Limited To)
Research, network, build, and foster impactful relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within designated territories. This may include relationship building with business owners/presidents/CEOs and other c-suite executives; regional operations managers; learning & development teams; merchandising and buying groups; store management; retail sales associates.
Develop and maintain the most up-to-date product knowledge.
Conduct high-level marketing & sales presentations and/or seminars for various audiences at our retail partner locations or at BEDGEAR corporate locations.
Conduct individual one-on-one hands-on training, sparring, and coaching with RSA.
Act as a liaison between retail partners and BEDGEAR in new business opportunities and proposals; aid in the development of contract negotiations, close sales, and assist with the development of marketing plans for designated accounts.
Develop and increase sales revenue to achieve assigned targets.
Check on competitive activity and provide recommendations for improvement opportunities to maintain competitive advantage in the marketplace and within physical store locations.
Participate as brand champion at company tradeshows and/or marketing events at the request of management to promote awareness of company and products.
Maintain call reports and provide performance feedback from stores.
Provide visual merchandising compliance reports for store visits, events, etc. Includes but is not limited to: take pictures of POP/display items during in-store visits; provide recommendations for merchandising opportunities; evaluate competition floor space and provide insights to account management and sales managers; identify open spaces for marketing collateral opportunities; updating SharePoint with reports after store visits.
Maintain a remote, self-maintained home office location for when not traveling on the road.
Assist in additional duties as requested.
Qualifications/Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older
HS Diploma or GED
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
Must have dependable personal vehicle with credible insurance coverage and valid driver’s license
Computer savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office
Must have a valid passport
Travel required at least 75% of time
Ability and willingness to work weekends and major retail holidays
Education/Experience/License Requirements
2+ years marketing and/or sales experience (or combination of the two) with notable sales accomplishments
Home furnishings/retail mattress experience is highly preferred
Experience working remotely/autonomously at times
Proven ability to develop meaningful relationships with key influencers
Experience delivering engaging and impactful marketing & sales presentations to groups of all sizes
MUST HAVE Ability to prioritize effectively and operate efficiently; use sound judgment to make rational decisions; ability to recognize opportunities and evoke change where applicable; strong follow up skills; interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills; attention to detail and process orientation; problem solving skills. MUST be a true road warrior who thrives on travel, representing our company at client locations and events in the Metro TN-KY area.
Sensory Requirements With or without use of corrective lenses or any other visual aid, must be near and far-sighted to be able to inspect and review visual materials in print and digital. Must have full color vision. Will be required to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time. With or without the use of hearing aids, must be able to engage in verbal communication (both in person and on phone) with team and outside parties.
Environmental Job operates in a clerical office setting. Fast-paced office, highly collaborative and creative environment.
Language Skills English proficiency required (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension). Knowledge of an additional language(s) is a plus!
Mathematical Skills Basic arithmetic and algebra.
Reasoning Ability Customer, marketplace, and product knowledge; strong aesthetic sense; highly organized, detail oriented, and accurate; ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively; creative collaboration; ability to work both independently and in a team; working knowledge of audio/visual equipment and software.
Work Environment Indoor office environment most times.
Physical Demands Travel will be frequent; ability to drive long distances; may involve lifting and carrying lightweight to moderate loads; standing and walking as part of field visits and store assessments.
