Overview
The Global Director of Accounting will serve as a key strategic, technical, and operational leader within the finance organization. This role will set the strategic direction for global accounting operations, aligning them with enterprise goals while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and value creation. You will lead the modernization of enterprise reporting, optimize emerging technologies, and drive process excellence across a global footprint. This position reports to the Corporate Controller and is positioned as the Controller’s successor—offering a unique leadership path within a growing, global enterprise.

Responsibilities
Serve as the company’s technical accounting authority, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements.
Develop standardized global reporting frameworks for internal and external stakeholders.
Streamline global audit processes to reduce cycle times and enhance readiness.
Optimize ERP systems and leverage automation, data analytics, and emerging technologies for efficiency and insight generation.
Maintain strong internal controls, proactively mitigating financial and operational risks.
Strategic Impact
Drive a private equity value creation mindset, focusing on financial performance, operational efficiency, and shareholder value.
Lead M&A integration, including purchase price accounting, valuation analysis, and harmonization of reporting and cost structures.
Develop best-in-class enterprise financial reporting that delivers timely, actionable insights.
Build and manage shared service centers in cost-effective regions to improve efficiency and optimize working capital.
Lead working capital optimization initiatives to improve cash flow and liquidity.
Operational Execution
Own global accounting and reporting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.
Oversee reporting to lenders, private equity stakeholders, and public company-style governance where applicable (SEC reporting, SOX compliance).
Standardize and document accounting processes across global operations to drive consistency.
Implement process automation to reduce manual workload and accelerate closing cycles.
Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for business decision-making.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
10+ years of progressive corporate accounting leadership experience in global environments.
Deep expertise in US GAAP and IFRS.
Demonstrated success in internal controls, audit management, and technical accounting.
Proven track record in leading transformations and developing top-tier accounting teams.
Strong ERP and consolidation tool expertise (e.g., OneStream).
