Must possess a bachelor's degree in
accounting, finance, business administration, economics
OR
a bachelor's degree in another field which
must include 30 semester (45 quarter) units
of completed college coursework in
accounting
. (Transcripts with qualifying coursework is required if degree is in another field.) EXPERIENCE:
Must possess one (1) year of
professional-level
auditing or accounting experience.
IMPORTANT NOTES: EXPERIENCE:
Professional-level
experience is defined as occupations that require specialized knowledge usually acquired through principal work experience. Clerical/bookkeeping experience is not considered qualifying. EDUCATION:
Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.
(Must be attached if applicable.) The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting along with governmental accounting/auditing experience and possess one of the following designations: California Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner or Certified Information Systems Auditor.
