Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $160,000 to $175,000 per year.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting operations including billing, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and vendor management.
Lead the month-end close process, including revenue recognition, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Prepare financial reports and variance analyses for executive leadership and investor communications.
Manage the annual audit process and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and support strategic planning through budgeting and forecasting.
Requirements
Proven experience managing accounting operations in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
Strong understanding of revenue recognition standards (ASC606) and financial compliance.
Proficiency in financial reporting, variance analysis, and audit coordination.
Ability to lead process improvements and implement automation across financial systems.
Experience administering corporate benefits and managing insurance coverage.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
Excellent communication and analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
Ability to build and scale accounting functions to support organizational growth.
