The Internal Audit Department (IAD) of The Charles Schwab Corporation provides independent and objective assessments to determine whether significant risks are identified and reported by management and risk functions to the Board and Executive Management, and to evaluate whether risks are adequately controlled. The IAD challenges governance processes, risk management, and internal controls to improve efficiency. The Bank Enterprise team is seeking a Senior Auditor (Senior Specialist) responsible for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Fraud audits. The Bank Internal Audit team focuses on Bank, Trust, AML, Fraud, and Conduct audits targeting governance, risk management programs, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. Internal Audit also supports regulatory agency interactions, Board and Executive Management reporting, and relationship management. Internal Audit activities cover the Charles Schwab Banking and Trust Services (BTS) organization, representing three banks and two personal trust companies, wholly owned by The Charles Schwab Corporation. These entities provide trust and custody services for employee benefit plans. The team also provides internal audit coverage for CSC’s AML program, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements, following FFIEC BSA/AML guidelines. Fraud and Conduct audits are performed in accordance with regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Director (PL) of the Bank/AML Enterprise team, the Internal Audit Senior Specialist will be responsible for independent and objective assurance activities designed to improve operations and compliance with key regulations by evaluating and improving risk management, control, and governance processes specifically around AML and Fraud. The role involves collaborating with an external co-sourcing provider. This position does not have administrative responsibilities for direct reports. What You’ll Do

Issues Identification: Based on audit testing results, identify and draft audit observations for review by the Internal Audit Manager/Senior Manager (and above) and debrief with key partners (typically MD-level and below). Issue Management and Validation: Conduct validation testing of audit issue action plans completed by the business. Risk Assessment: Under direct supervision, participate in the annual Risk Assessment process, including scheduling and participation in meetings with partners, and the scoring and documentation of risk ratings. Coaching: Provide support, mentoring, and feedback to audit team members; assist with onboarding and ongoing support to new team members. Administration/Training: Complete firm-wide and departmental administration and training requirements. Other Initiatives/Special Projects: Assist with special projects related to business operational improvement or internal team needs as needed. What You Have
