Overview

Location: Mundelien, IL Lead architect for SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing (MFG) stream, supporting all manufacturing processes and their integration with EWM, Supply Chain/MM, and Finance modules. Responsibilities

Serve as the lead architect for SAP S4 HANA Manufacturing (MFG) stream, supporting all manufacturing processes and their integration with EWM, Supply Chain/MM, and Finance modules. Analyze and understand client business processes in manufacturing, supply chain, and related functional areas. Architect, design, and support SAP S/4 and ECC systems, focusing on MM (Materials Management) and PP (Production Planning) modules. Assess organizational and financial impacts of proposed solutions and architectures. Research, design, and recommend implementation strategies for new or emerging technologies to advance business objectives. Define architectural principles, standards, guidelines, and solution patterns aligned with enterprise future-state vision. Develop actionable architectural designs for products, services, and systems, ensuring clarity and direct applicability. Collaborate with product owners, project managers, and development teams to ensure architectures support current and future business requirements. Mentor and coach technical team members, fostering collaboration to implement modern business capabilities and operating models. Create and communicate business process design documents, business systems designs, and system test plans. Draft functional specifications for interfaces, forms, and extensions in the S4 HANA PP/MFG stream. Lead and conduct unit, functional, and system integration testing (including security testing), and resolve system deficiencies. Manage interfaces and integrations between ECC, S4 HANA, and third-party systems; troubleshoot and resolve integration errors. Preferably possess experience with Output types, IDOCs, batch jobs, and labelling software (e.g., OpenText, Document Presentment). Perform root cause analysis, triage issues and defects, and track/report resolution progress. Utilize knowledge of EDI functions, SAP Fiori, and MM/PP master data management. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, leveraging strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Stay up-to-date with industry technology trends and apply them to evolving business models. Influence and guide stakeholders and peers in decision-making processes. Balance multiple projects and priorities, working independently with minimal supervision. Estimate financial impacts of technology alternatives and provide thought leadership to business and IT teams. Willingness to travel domestically up to 10-15% as required. Additional Information
