Full-service, mid-sized law firm in Central California serving public entities and corporate clientele, hiring in the Greater Sacramento area. This role provides legal counsel to public agencies on municipal law matters, with opportunities to represent entities in litigation, negotiations, and administrative proceedings. Responsibilities
Provide legal counsel to public agencies, including city councils, on a wide range of municipal law matters. Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on complex issues related to public agency affairs, environmental law, government contracting, and related areas. Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Represent public entities in litigation, administrative hearings, and negotiations. Advise on the development and implementation of policies and procedures in compliance with municipal law. Develop and deliver presentations to city councils, public agencies, and other stakeholders on legal issues and developments. Collaborate with other legal team members and stakeholders to provide efficient and effective legal support. Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal law, specifically in public agency affairs, environmental law, or government contracting. Active member in good standing with the State Bar. Experience representing public entities before administrative bodies and in court proceedings. Strong legal research and writing skills; excellent negotiation and conflict resolution abilities. Ability to interpret and apply complex laws and regulations; able to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and presentation skills; high degree of professional ethics and integrity. Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $150,000 - $275,000 per year. Employer-paid benefits, 401(k) with match, bonus based on 1750 billables, PTO package, and additional benefits. About Us
