Overview

Behavioral Assistant (BA) for Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare. Part-time position serving primary caregivers of children and teens with developmental and intellectual disabilities in New Jersey. BA’s visit clients at home or in the community to provide relief to caregivers and holistic support to youth. Services are typically in the after-school hours or during summer, with scheduling flexible to meet client needs. Responsibilities

Visit clients at home or in the community to provide relief to caregivers and holistic support to youth. Develop and implement the Individual Support Plan (ISP). Deliver and monitor behavior analysis services; submit weekly clinical progress notes within 24 hours of service provision. Collect and display data (e.g., graphics) as authorized by the service plan; ensure compliance with service authorizations. Implement interventions within the ISP and behavioral procedures for skill acquisition and reduction of problematic behaviors. Carry out treatment as designated by the supervising behavior analyst, including environmental arrangements, proactive strategies, and teaching new skills. Manage consequences for behavior based on function; work to increase ADL skills in home and during community outings. Assist parents/guardians with treatment plan implementation and train caregivers or staff as needed. Engage in crisis prevention, recognition, and intervention; uphold all agency policies. Must have completed the free CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification or be able to complete within 6 months of hire (information: nj.gov/dcf/providers/csc/training/). Bachelor’s Degree in psychology or related field. 2–4 years of experience in behavioral healthcare (maladaptive behaviors) and with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities. Valid NJ driver’s license and proof of car insurance. Consent to and pass State/Federal Criminal Background Checks. Bilingual (Spanish) welcome.
