IP Docket Specialist Job Details

Intellectual Property
( IP ) Docket Specialist with expertise in foreign patents to join our talented IP Docket team. You will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate records for intellectual property matters, with a focus on foreign patents. You will ensure compliance with deadlines and legal requirements, working closely with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to support client needs. The hours for this position are
8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. MST Monday through Friday .
Remote or hybrid work options are available
where the firm has offices within one of the following cities,
Dallas, Las Vegas, Phoenix, or Salt Lake City . Position responsibilities
Review and process incoming foreign patent correspondence, including emails, postal mail, and packages, to identify and record deadlines. Maintain and update docketing records using Intellectual Property docket software (e.g., CPI or equivalent). Assign deadlines and response times for foreign patent. Monitor deadlines and generate weekly reports for attorneys and paralegals. Process lateral attorney and client file transfers, ensuring docket accuracy and compliance. Create, update, and maintain process documentation and training materials related to docketing procedures. Collaborate with attorneys and staff to develop efficient workflows and ensure smooth operations. Experience and Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years experience in foreign patent docketing or related IP legal support roles. Legal experience in Intellectual Property is required Proficiency with docketing software (e.g., CPI) and familiarity with foreign IP laws, deadlines, and procedures. Strong organizational and time management skills with proven ability to meet strict deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling large volumes of data. Effective written and verbal communication skills to liaise with attorneys, staff, and external stakeholders.
