Position Summary Aegis Aerospace is seeking a Mid Linux/Elastic Systems Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the IRES (Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions) contract. This position will directly support the Missile Defense Space Enterprise Architecture (MDSEA) organization.
Responsibilities
Develop and design new IT solutions to improve efficiency and sustainability of the Ground System Elements and Mission Suites within MDSEA
Execute studies, analysis, detailed requirements definition, system engineering, preliminary and detailed ground system architecture designs, and system development of Enterprise Services, satellite ground systems, and operations centers to include all supporting facilities
Maintain alignment to support Team Leads: infrastructure, networks, integration, logistics plans, cybersecurity and physical security protection plans, and cost and schedule estimates for the development, fielding, tests, and operations of planned space capabilities
Be responsible for project initiation, requirements management, task management and development of artifacts for the Technical Baseline
Be responsible for documenting designs and developing implementation and test plans to be installed by sustainment personnel
Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure integration and compliance
Work with Project Managers to produce artifacts to support preliminary, detailed, and critical design reviews with stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications
Must have 6, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
May be reduced with completion of advanced education
Must have 4, or more, years of direct experience in programming/scripting, troubleshooting code, SIEM technologies, and/or bulk data analysis.
Must have 1, or more, years of experience working in a management or leadership role
Must have an active DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification with Continuing Education (CE) - (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
Must have, or obtain, an active DoD 8570.01-M CSSP Infrastructure Support certification with Continuing Education (CE) - (CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, CND) (Note: Any/all expenses associated with obtaining this certification will be at the employees' expense)
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
Desired Requirements
Have the ability to interpret and incorporate data from multiple tool sources.
Have experience with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) (highly desired)
Have familiarity & knowledge with Kibana, Logstash, and Elasticsearch
Have familiarity & knowledge with Kubernetes, Kafka, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Suricata, Zeek, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, AWS Cloud, and Nifi.
Have a basic understanding of Python, Bash, and markup languages (YAML).
Have the ability to identify basic common coding flaws at a high level.
Have experience with Security Operations Centers (SOC)/DCO tools/applications, such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems / Intrusion Prevention Systems, Network Security Manager, Bluecoat, Barracuda, etc.
Be able to mentor and train personnel in an evolving, high-paced environment
Have an active DoD Top Secret clearance
Salary Salary Range:
$115,000 - $140,000 annually. Final compensation is based on experience, education, location, and applicable certifications.
