A userspace networking service which acts as a hub between our Network Services and Zero Trust systems, enabling every customer to access every product
Control plane systems which allow customers to simply express complex network configurations
Products that empower customers to gain deep visibility into Cloud/SaaS security opportunities and into trends in their network traffic and product use
A backend system that allows our customers to manage their devices via our Zero Trust Network solution
A MITM forward-proxy responsible for introspecting and filtering device traffic
Threat intelligence from a swath of external sources with intelligence mined from Cloudflare's world class data to provide threat intelligence used across a number of Cloudflare products
As a software engineer on our team, you will work across a wide range of technologies and systems to deliver new features, improve performance, and increase the scalability of our CF1 products. You’ll build, deploy, and operate your team’s systems on top of one of the largest edge networks in the world. You’ll partner with some of the best engineers and product managers to solve big problems that have a meaningful impact in the lives of our customers and users. We’re looking for curious, empathetic engineers who are excited to join us in changing the way networking is done!
Responsibilities

Participate in the design and integration of RESTful APIs and backend systems, especially for asynchronous and distributed architectures.
Improve code quality through rigorous documentation, testing, and adherence to industry best practices.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and scale distributed systems deployed worldwide.

Contribute to the reliability, security, and scalability of Cloudflare's infrastructure, including on-prem/cloud integrations.
Required Qualifications
3+ years professional software engineering experience.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Familiarity with design and development of distributed, asynchronous backend architectures.
Willingness, curiosity, and enthusiasm to learn new programming languages, technologies, and systems.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, especially for cross-team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Linux networking primitives, cloud technologies, and virtualization platforms.
Prior work on zero trust, cloud security, or enterprise networking products.
