Overview We are looking for a skilled and compassionate
Part-Time Optometrist
(with potential for full-time) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will provide top-tier eye care services, ensuring the well-being of our patients and contributing to the success of our practice.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough eye exams to evaluate vision and ocular health
Diagnose and treat visual disorders, diseases, and conditions
Prescribe corrective eyewear (eyeglasses, contact lenses) and other visual aids as needed
Educate patients on best practices for maintaining healthy vision
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Required Skills
Proficient in conducting eye exams, vision tests, and interpreting results
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ocular anatomy and physiology
Skilled in operating optical systems and diagnostic equipment
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient care
Ability to make informed recommendations for eyewear solutions
Sales experience to help guide patients in selecting eyewear options
Knowledge of Eyefinity EHR is a plus
Medical Optometry helpful
Qualifications
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
State licensure in good standing
Previous experience in a clinical optometry setting is preferred
Position Details
Job Type: Part-time (with potential to transition to full-time)
Pay: $75.00 to $125.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 12 – 24 hours per week
Schedule: Flexible schedule; 4-hour or 8-hour shifts available; Weekend availability as needed
