Overview
Provide safe, punctual, and dignified non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) for wheelchair, stretcher, and ambulatory clients throughout the Tampa Bay area. Your performance directly impacts patients’ health outcomes and our reputation for reliability.
Responsibilities
Transport wheelchair, stretcher, and ambulatory members from door-to-door in a friendly, compassionate, and efficient manner.
Load and unload passengers; operate a hydraulic lift to safely load and unload wheelchairs/stretchers.
Coordinate instructions from the dispatch team and NEMT software to ensure optimal routing of trips.
Maintain safety and well-being of all passengers on board.
Conduct vehicle inspections at the beginning and end of each shift according to established procedures.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report needed repairs and service maintenance to supervisor.
Maintain full knowledge of the vehicle’s equipment and proper use at all times.
Complete documents and maintenance records clearly and accurately.
Participate in regular training and educational opportunities.
Must be able to lift 100 pounds.
Qualifications
Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
Age 23 or older (Insurance Requirement)
Valid State of Florida Driver's License
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to pass DOT physical, pre-employment drug/alcohol screening, and criminal background check
No suspensions, DUI, or more than 1 citation in the past 5 years
Must be customer service oriented
Experience in paratransit or healthcare preferred
