Network Engineer – Top Secret Clearance | Norfolk, VA

Join Cambridge International Systems, Inc. as a Network Engineer to support operations in Norfolk, VA. This is a full-time position requiring an active DoD TS clearance. This position is contingent upon contract award with an expected award date of January 2026. Responsibilities: Provide network engineering, administration, and cybersecurity support for multi-classification cyber OT&E networks and infrastructure. Design, install, configure, and maintain cyber labs (attack, analysis, training), toolsets, and flyaway kits. Create virtualized environments to support test events, ensure operational readiness, and troubleshoot issues during execution. Administer network systems: apply patches, harden systems, review logs, and ensure physical/electronic security. Support RMF compliance activities, including documentation and vulnerability analysis. Configure networks to support penetration testing and on-keyboard cyber training events. Integrate server and virtual hosting technologies into secure network architecture. Coordinate with stakeholders and brief OPTEVFOR leadership on a weekly basis. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field (ABET/CAE-accredited) OR 5+ years' experience in network design, infrastructure, and security. At least 3 years of RMF security testing experience. Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Proficiency in Python, Perl, or shell scripting for automation. Experience applying STIGs, IAVA compliance, and DoD cybersecurity policies. Familiarity with RMF, network segmentation, and defense-in-depth design. Certifications: Must have a current and active DoD TS security clearance with the ability to obtain a SCI clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture, VPN security, PKI, and common attack vectors. Familiarity with Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) tools and traffic analysis. Experience supporting DoD environments and cyber OT&E missions. Work Environment: Primarily an office-based role in Norfolk, VA. Standard desk/computer work with flexibility for walking and movement on site.
