Overview
Senior Applications Developer (Senior Informatica Developer) role at Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES). DES serves more than 3 million Arizonans and aims to strengthen individuals, families, and communities for a better quality of life. This position is located in the Division of Technology Services (DTS) in Phoenix, AZ; remote work may be possible based on business needs and performance measures. Job Location: 1400 West Washington Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85007. Salary: $90,000 - $100,000. Grade: 27. Closing Date: Open Until Filled. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize ETL workflows and mappings using Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS). Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; fix bugs within the software. Document ETL processes, workflows, and best practices. Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data integration needs and implement solutions. Informatica administration, including monitoring running jobs, identifying performance bottlenecks, troubleshooting errors, and resolving data integration issues. Other duties as assigned related to the position. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. SQL and dimensional data modeling for robust data warehouse design. REST APIs; Informatica Cloud; data warehousing concepts and BI architecture. Data modeling and warehouse design concepts; scripting languages; Azure DevOps. Skills
ETL data management, database architecture and design, and data warehouse implementation. Developing, maintaining, and testing IICS workflows. Testing and defect resolution; strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies. Abilities
Translate business requirements into technical solutions. Work effectively independently or in a team; manage multiple tasks; build relationships; write technical documentation. Utilize testing frameworks, test libraries, databases, and test environments. Selected Preferences
This ideal candidate will have: Five or more years of advanced Informatica design and development using PowerCenter and PowerExchange. Experience developing Informatica PowerCenter ETL mappings using Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, and Repository Manager. Pre-Employment Requirements
Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of programming and analysis experience (or equivalent). Valid Level One fingerprint clearance card per DES requirements. Background checks and reference checks; E-Verify for new State employees. Benefits
