Android (Kotlin) Developer – Kavaliro
We are seeking a highly skilled Android Engineer to join our client’s product team. This role is suited for developers who value design excellence and brand integrity, and who can deliver seamless, high-quality mobile experiences. You will be responsible for full-cycle Android app development, with emphasis on security, scalability, and reliability. Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of Android applications using Kotlin. Work closely with designers and product managers to bring brand-focused designs to life. Apply secure coding practices and ensure compliance with data protection standards. Maintain strong unit test and integration test coverage. Set up and optimize CI/CD pipelines for smooth releases. Continuously improve app performance, responsiveness, and reliability. Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers. Requirements
8+ years of experience in mobile application development (with strong focus on Android). Proficient in Kotlin with deep knowledge of Android SDK and Jetpack libraries. Proven experience building and publishing polished, design-centric apps. Strong understanding of secure coding principles. Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Espresso, or Robolectric. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitrise, or similar). Solid grasp of the Google Play release and distribution process. Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to work independently. Nice To Have
Experience with Jetpack Compose. Knowledge of accessibility and internationalization best practices. Familiarity with analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring tools. Equal Employment Opportunity
