Job Description:

Our work depends on a TS/SCI level cleared Counterintelligence Officer joining our team to support our customer.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily research to gather, assimilate, evaluate and interpret information concerning intelligence, terrorism and espionage threats against personnel, programs, technology and information systems and/or facilities and the National System for GEOINT (NSG).

Provide daily CI analyses for distribution to selected parties within the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Delivers executive-level CI guidance to Key Component leadership.

Publish intelligence with recommendations for mitigation and countermeasures, as appropriate.

Detect and assess anomalous activities for links to possible foreign intelligence collection within key component offices using recommended countermeasures.

Immediately alert the government to imminent foreign intelligence, terrorism and espionage threats with recommended countermeasures.

Provide analytical forecasts of foreign intelligence, terrorism and espionage threats against key component offices as requested with recommended countermeasures.

Provide annual CI threat analyses of foreign intelligence and terrorism threats to employees assigned to Contiguous United States (CONUS) and Outside Contiguous United States (OCONUS) locations.

Apply knowledge and understanding of most of the applicable analytical tools (M3, Palantir, TAC, ARCSIGHT, RSA Security Analytics, CCD, TIDE) to conduct CI analysis of anomalous activities.

Liaise with DoD, the Intelligence Community, and appropriate law enforcement entities to remain abreast of current CI trends and issues.

Prepare briefs related to the above subject matter for delivery to internal and external audiences at strategic, operational and tactical levels.

Conduct approximately 25-35 formalized threat briefings per month tailored for key component directives and foreign destinations and geospatial conferences and symposia.

Conduct approximately 25-35 foreign contact and foreign travel debriefs per month and prepare reports detailing results, including Intelligence Information Reports.

Provide CI advice and CI expertise in approximately 15-20 CI Risk Assessments per month in support of personnel security and the security clearance adjudication process per ICD 704.

Provide CI technical expertise to support vulnerability mitigation efforts.

Provide CI expertise in protecting emerging geospatial and IC technologies and the intelligence acquisition process.

Provide CI support to Research and Technology Protection (RTP) initiatives, including writing approximately eight CI Threat Assessments per month.

Support integration of CI to Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) policies and initiatives, including ICD 731 series.

Produce approximately 75 Supply Chain Risk Assessment reports per month.

Support Intelligence Community SCRM Working Group and liaise across IC Agencies as appropriate.

Interview personnel and prepare accurate operational reports and summaries.

Provide input to formal reports of findings and recommendations for unauthorized disclosures involving loss of classified information.

Process approximately 10 Intelligence Community actions in support of Special Access Programs (SAP).

Apply GEOINT knowledge to CI damage assessments involving loss or unauthorized disclosure of intelligence and prepare reports of findings and recommendations.

Produce approximately 100 Intelligence Information Reports (IIRs) per year.

Produce CI Notes and CI Minutes for Agency awareness as required.

Collaborate with the Intelligence Community to share information, draft and finalize community information reviews/damage assessments.

Support and participate in 5-10 CI Incident Assessments (CIIAs) per year.

Support processing of approximately 65-75 agency documents for public release monthly.

Participate in agency and IC-directed damage assessment task forces as appropriate.

Complete assigned tasks within prescribed timelines and to community standards, directives and instructions.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

11+ years of CI experience

Foundational defensive CI experience (investigations, inquiries, collections, operations, analysis, briefings, debriefings, training and awareness)

Bachelor’s degree in National Intelligence Studies, Law Enforcement, History, Analysis/Research, Journalism, Political Science, Library Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field

Desired:

Master’s degree in National Intelligence Studies, Law Enforcement, History, Analysis/Research, Journalism, Political Science, Library Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field

The likely salary range for this position is $126,650 - $171,350. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Salaries are set based on experience, geographic location and contractual requirements.
