Who we are looking for We’re seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain a robust network infrastructure across a multi-site, cloud integrated environment. You will be instrumental in connecting our Re:Builders and partners to accomplish our business goals!
What you get to do
Understand and analyze all organization requirements, i.e. performance, scalability, availability, and security requirements
Design, configure, optimize all company networks, including all on-premise (manufacturing, office, remote, etc.) and cloud (Azure, AWS, SaaS, etc.) to meet organizational goals and needs
Manage and maintain firewalls, switches, routers, wireless access points, IP addressing, certificates, protocols, VPN, and other networking devices/equipment/resources
Provide troubleshooting and support to properly resolve complex network issues to keep our business optimally running, while keeping collaborators informed with regular status updates as needed
Monitor network performance and proactively solve issues using network monitoring and inspection tools (i.e. SNMP, packet analyzers, etc.)
Perform regular system updates and patching
Provide reporting and clear explanation of network utilization on a regular basis
Collaborate with security team to ensure networks meet cybersecurity and compliance requirements
Collaborate, mentor, and work with team members where cross team needs exist
Complete all proper documentation, i.e. design, configurations, ticketing, work updates
Provide timely and accurate estimates to complete work
Deliver all work within service level agreements and commitments
Automate work via scripting and other methods
Identify, contribute, and implement continuous improvement opportunities
Travel to Re:Build sites, as needed
Other tasks, as assigned
What you bring to the Team
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology (or related field)
Over 7 years of experience of hands-on networking experience in a distributed enterprise environment (across the country and in the cloud)
Current IT industry certifications such as CCNP, CompTIA Network+
Fortinet NSE is preferred
Strong experience and demonstrated business success with the Fortinet platform, equipment, and solutions
Strong experience with managing, maintaining, and supporting distributed networks across diverse locations and technologies
Strong experience using core network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and VPN
Strong experience with all types of networking equipment i.e. cabling, wireless, switches, routers, racking, mounting, etc.
Solid experience networking in IT and OT (manufacturing) environments
Solid experience in SD-WAN
Strong experience working with third party service providers, i.e. internet providers, cabling/infrastructure, etc.
Strong knowledge and demonstration of security best practices
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and apply quickly in a beneficial way
General knowledge of end user end points/services, servers, virtualization, server services (like AD, file/print) and cloud services
Knowledge of ITIL processes
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is a nice-to-have
Ability to structure data and build reports to guide decision making and continuous improvement.
Ability to visualize and diagnose complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop solutions.
Location Requirement Preferred location - New Kensington, PA - However for the right candidate we would consider other Re:Build locations - Rock Hill, SC, Wilmington, MA, Merrimack, NH, Avon, OH, Rochester, NY or Kalamazoo, MI
Work Week Hybrid: 3 days in the office, with 2 days remote.
