Carpet and Floor Care Specialist at Georgetown University. This is a full-time position located at 37th & O Street NW, Washington, DC 20057. Responsibilities

Perform general and specific cleaning and maintenance tasks to provide a clean, safe, and pleasant environment in accordance with the detailed cleaning plan and University safety rules and procedures. Perform additional work as assigned in emergencies or unusual situations under guidance from the supervisor, including tasks such as snow and ice removal, and cleanup related to water or fire damage and event support. Clean up to 28,000–35,000 square feet of space per eight-hour work day using standard tools, equipment, materials, and supplies while observing all safety rules and regulations. Represent the department professionally to the University community and visitors and adhere to attendance and clock-in/clock-out requirements. Collaborate with University Facilities staff as part of a team and be flexible with schedules to accommodate emergencies and staffing needs. Qualifications

HS diploma or GED preferred. One year of custodial work experience preferred. Valid driver’s license from Maryland, Virginia, or District of Columbia. Basic knowledge of English to read, write, and understand product labels and University policies and procedures. Ability to relate custodial and maintenance problems clearly to a supervisor or Work Management Center. Ability to complete a training program in building cleaning. Work Mode
