Information security risk specialists help government organizations understand and mitigate cyber risks by translating complex threats into actionable plans. This role supports Air Force or Space Force organizations in discovering cyber risks, understanding applicable policies, and developing mitigation plans. You will gather technical and personnel details from SMEs, engineers, and operators to assess the threat landscape and guide clients through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones.
This opportunity allows you to build experience in a strategic information security role while developing skills in AI, cloud computing, and cyber risk analysis. Work with Booz Allen to protect military communications systems.
Responsibilities
Assist Air Force or Space Force organizations with discovering cyber risks and developing mitigation plans.
Gather technical and personnel details from SMEs, engineers, and operators to assess the threat landscape.
Guide clients through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones.
Translate security concepts so clients can make informed decisions to secure critical infrastructure and mission-critical systems.
Develop experience in AI, cloud computing, and cyber risk analysis.
Qualifications
Experience providing cybersecurity, engineering, or operational support, including supporting information assurance, network engineering, or systems administration
Experience evaluating the compliance of a system against RMF and DoD cybersecurity policies
Experience with DoD A&A processes and cybersecurity engineering
Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and the implementation of industry best practices
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
DoD 8140 Certification such as CompTIA Security+, Cloud+, CySA+, CASP+, SANS GSEC, or ISC2 CGRC Certification
Nice If You Have
Experience working with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
Experience with enterprise networks, Active Directory, Linux, or Windows
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management and analytical skills
