A full-time faculty position consists of serving as an advisor, teaching five classes, and assuming additional duties as assigned. Position Summary

Trinity is seeking a full-time sixth- and seventh-grade English instructor. Qualified candidates must be able to develop meaningful relationships with highly motivated students from diverse backgrounds. The teacher should plan to be an integral part of students\' lives, in and out of the classroom, and collaborate with colleagues on a grade-level team and within the English department. Trinity Prep uses a one-to-one laptop program; students and teachers use technology across disciplines, including electronic textbooks, Google Docs and Forms, and blended learning models. Use of Canvas and participation in the advisory program are required professional standards. Responsibilities

Nurture a group of assigned advisory students, acting as liaison between parents and the school on academics, social development, and future planning. Prepare lesson materials, grade papers, manage the classroom, and provide feedback to students. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet varied student needs and interests. Plan and conduct a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time to foster observation, questioning, and investigation. Instruct students individually and in groups using varied teaching methods (lectures, discussions, demonstrations). Establish clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects and communicate them to students. Prepare, administer, and grade assessments to evaluate progress. Meet with parents/guardians to discuss progress and identify priorities and resource needs. Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to align with Grade 7 readiness and department goals. Lead an out-of-classroom activity (e.g., coaching or competitive team) in addition to teaching and advising. Attend professional meetings and workshops to maintain and improve professional competence. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising administrator. Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited institution or international equivalent; Master\'s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in public and/or independent schools, with strong curriculum and instruction background. Commitment to an inclusive environment valuing diversity in thought and perspective. Passion for the subject area and ability to teach more than one level of English. Excellent written, grammatical, and oral communication skills; strong organizational and presentation abilities. Proven ability to collaborate with others in the English department. Must pass a Jessica Lunsford Level II background check and drug test. Certifications Required
