Programming Coordinator (Auxiliary Services Specialist II) — Full-Time The purpose of this position is to plan and deliver fitness and wellness programs that engage a diverse student and staff population and to collaborate with the Health, Wellness, and Wellbeing team, as well as other campus partners. Essential Functions

Lead student-focused wellness programming, including marketing, recruiting, training, and supervising instructors and student workers. Actively pursue revenue-generating wellness programs. Plan, coordinate, and lead presentations, classes and workshops on health promotion/wellness topics and deliver programming that aligns with components of the dimensions of wellness. Collaborate with campus partners and the Health, Wellness and Wellbeing team to compile a wellness calendar during each academic year. Implement and oversee wellness programs for students that focus on creating healthy lifestyles; create and execute programs and fitness classes. Develop an intentional marketing and communication strategy that engages members. Evaluate equipment for safety and establish and maintain a risk management plan. Supervise student and non-student employees including hiring, training, and scheduling (student employees, swim instructors, fitness instructors and Wellness Ambassadors). Manage time and payroll for student and non-student staff for Fitness and Wellness. Maintain statistical data including participation; participate in SOAR. Manage the program budget for the Fitness and Wellness area. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

B.S. in EXPW or related field from an accredited institution. One year of related professional experience in health, wellness, and recreation. Knowledge of fitness, nutrition, and wellness concepts. Ability to establish and manage fitness and wellness programming. CPR/AED Certification or willingness to become certified within 3 months. Preferred Qualifications

M.A. in EXPW or related field from an accredited institution. Current certifications from a nationally recognized program such as AFAA, ACSM, ACE or related in Personal Training and/or Group Exercise, Connect2, Fusion. CPR/AED Inst certified. Lifeguard certification or the ability and willingness to be certified. Work Hours

Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Weekends/Evenings may be required. Compensation and Benefits

Salary is commensurate with education and experience; Pay grade 9.
